What’s up at the North Sioux City Community Library

The public library is a place where lots of interesting things happen for people of a variety of ages. The North Sioux City Community Library has more than books, they have things like classes, art exhibits, storytimes for preschoolers, book clubs, meeting rooms for community organizations and more.

Below are some of the events scheduled at the library in the coming weeks. The library is located at 601 River Drive in North Sioux City. You might want to call ahead or email them to make sure the event is still on at (605) 422-2366 library@northsiouxcity-sd.gov

Preschool Storytime: Wed., Oct. 25, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. — A time filled with early childhood development interaction through book reading and creative activity.

Preschool Storytime: Thurs., Oct. 26, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m — A time filled with early childhood development interaction through book reading and creative activity.

Garden Club: Sat., Oct. 28, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. — The club meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. For information regarding this group and details to join contact Shawn Tabke at 605-356-2321 or email him at Union.county@sdstate.edu.

Lego Builders: Mon., Oct. 30, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. — A fun time of LEGO building for Kindergarteners through 6th grade.

Books On Wheel: Tues., Oct. 31, – The library delivers books to patrons every 3 weeks on Tuesdays. Patrons are called 24 hours in advance. Delivery times can be accommodated based on patrons’ needs.

Adult Craft Night: Thurs., Nov 2, – 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. — A fun time of crafting with friends. Call the library to reserve a spot. Unless otherwise indicated 15 people will be the limit.
