You may have noticed we’ve been neglecting to post the Union County Court Report on this site. I’m sorry for the lack of courtroom activity news on my part.
It could have been because I’ve been serving time in jail and haven’t had access to a computer in the hoosgow . . . but it’s not.
I just haven’t taken the time to transfer the information that Shannon Steckelberg, the Union County Deputy Clerk Magistrate works so hard to compile and send to me each week. My gosh, I’m having a shame attack just thinking about my lack of follow-through.
There. It’s over now. Whew!
So I’ll try to do better.
It does take time to do this. Today’s court report took me about half a day of hunting and pecking and copyediting. Besides, I want to offer the readers something more than they can get by reading Brand X.
Look for the report around the middle of next week.
NOTE: Some of the defendants below have multiple offenses listed under their names. Some offenses are followed by the statement: “Disposition: Recharged by Complaint/Petition”, “Disposition: Recharged-by Information” or something similar. These show that an earlier charge was dismissed by the county attorney and the defendant has likely been recharged on a more recent date. There is also a date preceding these disposition statements indicating when they were made giving the reader an idea of the chronological order of the defendant’s case. Thankfully, not every case requires that kind of notation.
