They’re in the jailhouse now

People housed in some SE South Dakota jails as of 7/15/24

The following individuals are residing in Siouxland County Jails as of July 15, 2024, according to figures released by the Clay, Lincoln and Union County Sheriff’s Departments. The list below shows their names – with the last name listed first, ages, and when possible, related information about the individuals’ cases.

You will also note that the Clay County Jail contains considerably more information about its inmates than does the Union County Jail. This is because both the Clay and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Offices are willing to provide more information on their inmate roster than the Union County Sheriff does. It makes it a lot easier to figure out why certain inmates have a bond assigned and some do not.

Readers will also note that there is some duplication in the names of inmates between Clay and Union County jails. We are assuming that because the Clay County Jail is providing the detailed information, then they are the originating or home jail of the inmates and that Union County may have held the inmate for one day for some reason.
