The National Association of Realtors (NAR) Relief Foundation is providing a substantial $250,000 in aid to support communities in southeastern South Dakota affected by recent flooding from June 16 to July 8. The areas impacted have been officially designated as disaster zones by both Gov. Kristi Noem and President Joe Biden.
The generous funding aims to help residents in these areas recover and seek financial assistance for any displacement. Those looking for financial assistance can apply by clicking here. The Realtor Relief Foundation (RRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to provide financial housing assistance to the public after disasters. In its 21 years of existence, $37 million in aid has helped 19,000 families. RRF is supported generously by the Realtor community. Local and state Realtor associations partner with RRF as they mobilize the Realtors in their locale to assist those in need. The NAR in collaboration with Realtor associations covers all administrative costs allowing 100% of donations to be used for disaster relief.
