One of former state employees charged in string of criminal cases takes a plea deal

Lynne Hunsley, a former South Dakota state employee, accepted a plea deal for creating a fraudulent vehicle title, receiving three years of probation, a $1,000 fine, and $1,200 in restitution. Work release inmate on the lam from Sioux City’s RTF

Myron Allen Dumarce, a 20-year-old man convicted of various crimes, failed to return to the Sioux City Residential Treatment Facility. They’re in the jailhouse now

As of July 15, 2024, the Siouxland County Jails in SE South Dakota house various individuals. The Clay County Jail contains detailed inmate information due to cooperation from the Sheriff’s Offices. The Union County Jail holds several individuals, with bond information included. The Lincoln County Jail also has numerous individuals with varied charges and bonds. Nurse criminally charged in death of care facility resident

A nurse who allegedly failed to suction the airway of a U.S. Army veteran in an Iowa nursing home has been criminally charged in the man’s death.

Becky Sue Manning, 69, of Lake View, is charged with felony wanton neglect of a healthcare facility resident. According to prosecutors, Manning, a licensed practical nurse, refused repeated requests to provide physician-ordered care for a resident of the Fonda Specialty Care nursing home while working there in 2023 as an employee of the GrapeTree Medical Staffing temp agency.
