One of former state employees charged in string of criminal cases takes a plea deal

Lynne Hunsley, a former South Dakota state employee, accepted a plea deal for creating a fraudulent vehicle title, receiving three years of probation, a $1,000 fine, and $1,200 in restitution. Other former state employees also face charges for various crimes. Attorney General Marty Jackley aims to enhance fraud protections in state government. Iowa revokes license of nurse imprisoned for massive insurance-fraud scheme

The Iowa Board of Nursing revoked Elizabeth Hernandez’s nursing license after her indictment for a Medicare fraud scheme that cost insurers $192 million. Convicted of multiple federal charges, she collected $1.6 million through fraudulent telemedicine practices. WITCC wants to depose alleged human trafficking victims in Iowa

Western Iowa Tech Community College, a community college in Sioux City, Iowa that’s facing two multimillion-dollar lawsuits alleging it engaged in human trafficking is arguing the alleged victims must return to Iowa from Chile to sit for depositions in the case.
